A sports betting picks & analysis platform, allowing sports fans to connect with & learn from sport journalists, betting experts, and media personalities. We went from back-of-the-napkin concept to fully launched MVP in just ten weeks. I was responsible for design, product management, and front-end engineering.
A science, technology, & entertainment-focused media publication. Over the first 18 months, we scaled the team to over 30 employees and served 10 million monthly unique visitors. I ran product management and design, working closely with engineering, editorial, video, and sales teams.
With my help, the company grew to become the 2nd most visited sports website in the US. Monthly unique visitors grew from 1.5 to 80 million and pageviews increased from 4 million to 1.7 billion. The mobile app was the most popular general service sports app behind ESPN Scorecenter. I led the design team, managing a team of six interaction and visual designers.
I was the primary UX designer on the myAOL product.
"Steve and I worked together in a variety of capacities for many years building Bleacher Report, and after a short break we reunited to build Inverse together. He's an incredibly talented product designer, his UI/UX instincts are impeccable, and he is just a quality human who can both work on big picture vision stuff and get in the trenches and keep many stakeholders and constituencies on the same page."
"I've worked with Steve for almost a decade across Bleacher Report and Inverse. Outside of being an inventive product mind with an eye towards the future, Steve has a special ability to unite teams on an interpersonal level. In my experience, it is rare to find this quality in someone who also continually drives results for design, product, and business KPIs."
"Steve is not only talented, but a fun person to work alongside. He drove much of the early design and UX for Bleacher Report, but was also a cultural leader in the company. Highly recommend!"
